Our Beliefs

The Restoration Movement, of which HCC is a part, began when several dissatisfied denomination leaders believed that the solution to the denomination problem was not to try to reform a broken system, but to wipe the slate clean and restore the New Testament Church (as seen in Acts).

We view Hebron as a movement not an institution, as an organism not an organization. Here are four mottos of the Restoration Movement that capture our beliefs:

  1. No book but the Bible. No creed but Christ. No name but the divine name.
  2. Where Scripture speaks, we speak. Where Scripture is silent we are silent.
  3. In essentials unity; in opinions liberty; in all things love.
  4. We are not the only Christians, but we are Christians only.
